About dotteriet …

This is how it all started …
My own dotting adventure started in January 2023. It was my sister Karen who thought we should try a new (for us) and exciting hobby – dotting. After she explained to me what it was all about, I just had to remind her that I can neither draw nor paint anything and then she said the magic words – that I didn’t need to be able to do all that. So we tried it and although the first many pieces of ‘art’ I dotted looked like something that was a lie in my eyes, I could see small improvements here and there. It was then I started looking for other tools and better quality paint etc. I couldn’t find much in Denmark and have bought from both Australia and the USA, Germany and Spain, England, France and yes, China. So, quite a lot of money spent on both shipping and import VAT. And exactly here I thought that I could make it better and easier for others, to collect everything you need for your dotting hobby, in one place. I would like to use and share my experiences in the field so that others can get as much pleasure from dotting as both my sister and I have. It gives an inner peace, a feeling of joy when you get paint placed in the right place, you become completely absorbed by it. Definitely an excellent ‘me time’ occupation. It doesn’t take up much space, doesn’t require as much equipment as other hobbies and I repeat – you don’t need to have great drawing skills! So, welcome to Dotteriet – the place where your dotting adventure starts and continues.
Dotted greetings from Tracy

Dotting provides a unique sence of visual satisfaction that is both soothing and inspiring. The small, precise movements and the symmetry of the patterns help calm the mind, while also giving a sense of order in an otherwise chaotic world. Watching these videos is like a kind of meditation. Enjoy …
